ElSaffar directs beautiful flow in 'Two Rivers' concert (Chicago Sun-Times)

Iraqi-American trumpeter and composer Amir ElSaffar triumphed Thursday night with a concert expansion of his 'Two Rivers' CD project, which combines Iraqi maqam (ma-KAM) spiritual melodies with jazz and blues.
